Quality Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Technician to join our Quality team in our Auckland factory.

The Quality Technician will be a key contributor supporting our Food Safety & Quality Team by ensuring safe products that meet specification are released into the market and any products that do not meet specification are effectively isolated.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the in-house laboratory,
  • Ordering of consumables for the lab
  • Managing the calibration of equipment on site  
  • Performing daily sensory evaluations
  • Testing and releasing of materials & finished goods
  • Conducting stability tests
  • ILT testing
  • Trending & reporting of NC’s
  • Environmental monitoring
  • Conducting annual pest control audits

Additionally, in this role you will be responsible for:

  • The day-to-day compliance with food safety and quality systems
  • Participating in Mock recalls / product recalls
  • Assist with investigations into complaints
  • Participate in production trials
  • Test intermediate products, finished goods and other samples as required.
  • Training and coaching production staff in food safety and quality.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a FMCG company in Quality
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • Experience in HACCP is an advantage
